Another National Award for Freemasons Homes

The Homes has received another national award for its innovative program “Supporting the Dementia Community through Fun & Games”.

The national award, sponsored by Total Aged Services, will be presented to our Leisure & Lifestyle Co-ordinator, Margi Siggers, at the Dementia & Recreation National Conference in Melbourne on Thursday, 10th October 2013.

The comments from the judging panel are, “the program is community focused, promotes a positive view of ageing, has a strong collaborative approach, represents a “can do” attitude and is clearly sustainable and replicable”.

The award comprises an attractive plague and $1500.00 cheque.

Congratulations must go to Paul Stevens, Deputy CEO who lodged the successful grant application to “kick off “ the program, and to Margie and the Leisure & Lifestyle team for maintaining and growing the program to the success it is today.
