The Leisure and Lifestyle team at FMH is committed to providing a diverse, dynamic and inclusive activities program,
designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for each resident including the tenants of our Independent Living Units (ILUs).
Activities are designed to provide residents with a sense of community and belonging. The current program includes but is not limited to:
• Exercise programs (tai chi/falls prevention/gentle exercises)
• Knitting and sewing groups
• Men’s club
• Happy hour/birthday parties
• Lunch and bus outings
• Shopping trips
• Art therapy
• Music therapy
• Nail and Beauty therapy
• Church services
• Book club
• Outdoor living program
• The fun and games program
• Audrey’s place….an informal bar encouraging groups to gather
ILU tenants are also able to enjoy regular bus trips such as luncheons, scenic drives and guided tours as well as regular community morning teas. An annual schedule is available to assist them with long term planning.
